A straightforward home charge point is usually a single visit of around half a day. Longer cable runs, a board upgrade, or a second charge point can push it into a full day, and we tell you which applies before booking. ### Where can the charge point be mounted? Anywhere with safe, practical access to the parking space: garage wall, house wall beside a driveway, or a post where there is no wall. We walk the route with you so the cable run is tidy and the lead reaches your charging port comfortably. ### Will my consumer unit and supply cope with a charger? We check the incoming supply, main fuse rating, earthing arrangement and existing load before quoting. If the board has no spare way or lacks the right protection, we price a consumer unit upgrade alongside the charge point rather than discovering it on the day. ### Do I need a 7kW or a 22kW charge point? Most homes have a single-phase supply, so 7kW is the practical maximum and adds roughly 25–30 miles of range an hour. 22kW needs a three-phase supply, which is more common on commercial premises and workplace car parks. ### Is the installation certified and notified?
