What we collect when you contact Manchester Electrical Services Ltd, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.

## Who we are
Manchester Electrical Services Ltd provides electrical installation, testing, maintenance and repair services across Greater Manchester. Our contact address is Roca Accountants, Centenary Way, Salford M50 1RF. You can reach us on 07469 921171 or at info@mcrelectricalservices.co.uk.

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you contact us or when we carry out work for you, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

## Information we collect
We only collect information we need in order to quote for and carry out electrical work:

- Your name, phone number and email address, as provided in our enquiry form or by phone, email or social media message.
- The area you are in and details of the work required, so we can price the job accurately.
- The property address and access details, where a site visit or works are arranged.
- Records relating to work carried out, including test results, certificates and invoices.

## How we use your information
Your information is used to:

- Respond to your enquiry and provide a price for the work.
- Arrange visits, carry out the work and keep you updated.
- Produce certification, test records and invoices, and to administer our workmanship guarantee.
- Meet our obligations as a registered electrical contractor, including retaining records of notifiable work.

## Lawful basis
We process enquiry details on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to you. Once work is agreed, we process your information to perform our contract with you, and to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations as an electrical contractor.

## Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary, for example with our registration body in connection with certification of notifiable work, with our insurers where a claim arises, and with the service providers that host our website, email and enquiry systems. Those providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

## How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept only as long as needed to follow up, and are then deleted. Records relating to completed work, including test results, certification and invoices, are retained for as long as required for guarantee, insurance, tax and regulatory purposes.

## Cookies and website analytics
Our website uses only the cookies and similar technologies necessary for the site to function and, where enabled, to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Embedded content such as a map or review form may set its own cookies, governed by the privacy policy of the provider concerned. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings.

## Your rights
You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask us to delete information we no longer need, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where our processing relies on it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us on the details above and we will respond promptly.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

## Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including limiting access to those who need it to carry out or administer the work, and using reputable providers for our website, email and record-keeping.

## Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the way we work or in our legal obligations. The version published on this page is the current one.

## Questions about your data?
Speak to Jack Byrne directly; we'll deal with it ourselves rather than passing you around.
